Hello everyone! Welcome to Itasca Lady’s Slipper Farms! I would like to introduce myself and inform you of an amazing opportunity I was granted to grow, cultivate and sell Minnesota’s beautiful state flower, the Showy Lady Slipper and other Lady Slipper species. I am Ellie Randle and I am the mother of five children wife to a farmer, builder and all around handyman. Together we purchased a piece of undeveloped land and with a lot of hard work we built a house from the trees on that land. Over time we added fields and barns for cows and chickens which helped us be more sustainable. We also added a greenhouse for vegetable gardening.

Spring is always exciting time of year around here when new calves start arriving.

​I have worked in the greenhouse industry for 25 years and have degrees in Floral and Business Management Entrepreneurship. It has always been a dream of mine to have my own business, so when I learned that a seasoned grower was selling his Lady Slipper business, I was just ecstatic. Not only is this something I’ve always hoped and dreamed for, I’m doubly blessed to take over from one of the premier growers of legal Lady Slippers in the United States. His dedication and passion for excellence is unmatched and I am honored that he is committed to mentoring me and being there to guide me through the entire process. His retirement is very well earned. I look forward to meeting you and hope that you will feel comfortable in this transitional process. My goal is to make you feel welcome and your shopping experience will be a pleasant one, whether it be buying bare root by mail or buying off the farm.
